The Jimmy Buffett Shrine (Aspen Mountain)
The Jimmy Buffett Shrine is a rare Shrine in that it is dedicated to a person who is still alive. That is a "no-no" for Shrines, and some people speculate he put it in himself. Buffett (born James William Buffett on December 25, 1946 in Pascagoula, Mississippi), is a singer, songwriter, and a film producer best known for his "island escapism" lifestyle and music including hits such as "Margaritaville". He has a devoted base of fans known as "Parrotheads". Aside from his career in music, Buffett owns the Margaritaville Cafe restaurant chain. The shrine consists of a street sign (“Jimmy Buffett Drive”), and Alabama license plate (“1 Parrot”) and crossing street signs (“Parrot Head Pkwy” and “Margaritaville Way”).
The Jimmy Buffett Shrine is on Aspen Mountain.
